In the Wake of a Seagull: The First Glider Aerotow
Simine Short is an aviation researcher and historian, co-editor of the quarterly newsletter Bungee Cord of the Vintage Sailplane Association, and a volunteer for the National Soaring Museum, Elmira, NY, chairing the National Landmark of Soaring Program since 1994. She has written more than 100 articles on the history of motorless flight and is published in the United States and Europe. Her latest book, Locomotive to Aeromotive. Octave Chanute and the Transportation Revolution, combines her interest in aviation, her engineering career, and her interest in researching previously unknown and unpublished material. She lives with her husband outside Chicago, IL.
