TOPIC: “Automatic Flaps: A Year’s Experience in the Duck Hawk SV”
Bill Thar (BT) flies out of Blairstown Airport, New Jersey, and is an enthusiastic ridge and cross country pilot. Bill started flying in the 1960s and got his SEL rating in 1967. Always intrigued by gliders, he added his glider rating in 1994 and has flown 1700 hours in gliders since then. As a retired physician, Bill has always followed soaring technical developments and instrumentation with great interest.
