Jean-Marie Clement – OSTIV Speaker

During our first very long and very high flights in the Andes in year 2002 (15 hours above 20.000 ft), we understood that we were suffering mild hypoxia, the most dangerous one, even though we were using the Electronic Delivery System from Mountain High, USA (EDS). We further got information about fatalities involving highly experienced mountain pilots leading always to the same conclusion: “pilot’s error”. How can such a clever man have made such a big mistake? Mild hypoxia is a likely answer.
